About
I paint purely as a creative outlet for my passion for all things nature and animals. Having initially received some tuition in the past from some wonderful local professional wildlife artists, since then my painting techniques are developed through exploration of each painting medium.
I am inspired by a wide range of wildlife subjects and am moving towards paintings with more of the subject's natural environment included, but do still occasionally produce paintings where the subject matter is particularly appealing and worthy of being stand alone.
Whereas some of my earlier paintings were completed using pastels and lightfast pencils, which are both wonderful mediums for reflecting fur of animals, I am painting more and more using high quality oil paints or acrylics and now creating my own canvas boards. I am available to produce the occasional pet commission, please use the Contacts Page or via email info@cheryldayart.co.uk should you wish to explore a personal painting.
Appointments to view the Studio and paintings of interest are also available to be arranged by private appointment.
